Frequently asked

Questions, answered.

What ID do I need?
A valid, unexpired, government-issued photo ID is required. Common acceptable forms include a driver's license, state ID, passport, or military ID. The name on your ID must match the name on the document being notarized.
Can you notarize a will?
Notaries in Alabama can notarize a self-proving affidavit attached to a will, but cannot draft wills or provide legal advice. If you need a will drafted, please consult with a licensed attorney.
Do you provide witnesses?
If your document requires witnesses, please arrange for them in advance. Witnesses must be 18 years or older and cannot be parties to the document or related to the signer. For an additional fee, we can sometimes arrange for witnesses.
How quickly can you come out?
For routine appointments, we typically book same-day or next-day. For urgent situations and emergency notarizations, we can often arrive within 1 to 3 hours depending on location and availability.
Do you serve hospitals and nursing homes?
Yes, hospital and nursing home visits are one of our specialties. We are familiar with visitor protocols at major Birmingham facilities including UAB, Princeton, Brookwood, St. Vincent's, and Grandview.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, and credit/debit cards via Square. Payment is due at the time of service unless arrangements are made in advance.
